Resident Program

                                       Resident Firefighters Wanted!

Sky Valley fire is looking for people to join our Resident Program. Residents live at one of our stations and work 12 hour shifts on a two day on, six day off schedule. On their days off, Resident Firefighters train, study for testing and run calls with the duty crews. Residents are expected to live at the station as their primary residence. They are expected to be at the station at least 50 percent of the time. 

Residents receive a nominal stipend along with housing and utilities. They can also participate in state and national mobilizations.  All required training is provided at no cost by the department.

 

Requirements-

- Must be over the age of 18

- High School Diploma or GED

-Succesful completion of an EMT-B course or be registered for the Sky Valley Course starting August 20th. More information about the course here.

- In good physical condition, member will be required to complete the CPAT prior to start of Fire Academy.

- Good driving history and no serious criminal offenses
