Sky Valley Fire is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Resident Firefighter/EMT - Closes 5/31/2026

 Resident Firefighter/EMTs staff one of our 3 stations. Resident Firefighter/EMTs respond to fires, medical calls and other needs for service. When not on calls Firefighter/EMTs constantly train for emergencies as well as maintain our equipment and stations. Resident Firefighters are expected to live full time at one of our 3 stations. Either Firefighter 1 or EMT Basic certifications are required prior to applying. Residents who do not have either EMT or Firefighter 1 will be required to go through the training at the next available offering. NWCG Wildland Firefighter 2 is required to obtain within 6 months of starting employment. Resident Firefighters work 12 hour shifts on a 2 day on 6 day off rotation. Resident Firefighters are eligible to participate in state and national mobilizations.
