Fire Commissioner Vacancy Announcement

Position: Fire Commissioner

Date of Appointment: Anticipated to be March 11, 2026

Salary: Daily rate of $161, annual maximum of $15,456

Sky Valley Fire is seeking a dedicated individual to serve the remaining term of a seat on the Board of Commissioners (term ending 12/31/2027). Fire Commissioners play a vital role in overseeing the district’s policies, budget, and operations to carry out the goals and mission of the district.

At their regular meeting on January 14, 2026 the Board nominated the following individual: Michelle Adie.

Per RCW 42.12.080(1), additional nominations are still being accepted.

Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below:

• U.S. Citizen

• 18 years old or older

• Registered voter residing in the fire district for at least 30 days

• No felony convictions unless civil rights have been restored post-conviction

• No contractual conflict of interest with the fire district

Please submit a letter of interest along with a resume to be considered for appointment. The letter of interest must detail how you meet the minimum qualifications and why you are interested in the position as well as any supporting materials you wish to include.
